How to Remove Shortcut Virus

The shortcut virus is the virus seen in pendrives or memory cards on the computers which are already having or not having anti virus.It is the malware Virus which comes through internet.

There are very simple steps to remove the virus and retrieve your lost data and files.

1.The first step you'll need to do is Insert your pendrive or memory card which is infected by the virus.

2.Open run command by "windows button+r" and type cmd.

3.A dialog box will appear and you have to insert the drive in which your removable media is connected lets say it is placed in G drive then you have to insert G: .

4.Now insert the command “ attrib -h -r -s /s /d G:\*.* ” without commas. Here G is the drive of infefted removable media.

5. The final step is to press Enter.

6. Wait for 3 to 4 seconds your problem is solved.

7.Now goto your removable media drive and in tbe search box at the top left,search for ".lnk" and delete all the .lnk files.
